 Go back

The rapid industrialization including growth of chemical industries in Gujarat has triggered multi-fold use, storage, handling and transportation of hazardous chemicals in the state. The well-equipped Emergency Response Centres with trained man-power is one of the important steps for effective and prompt response at onset of any chemical and industrial emergency. At the next stage, Mini ERCs are being set up in vicinity to major industrial clusters of the state, namely Vapi, Hazira, Ankleshwar and Dahej areas which are far to be effectively served by the existing ERCs.

It is decided that the Mini ERCs are to be set up on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) basis with 40% contribution from GIDC (GoG fund), 40% from GSDMA (GoG fund) and 20% from respective Industrial Associations. The construction of Mini ERC Building at Dahej has been completed while the work in other three Mini ERCs in under progress.
